Pharmaceutical Consulting Based on Expert Industry Knowledge
When a drug is packaged and sits on a shelf, chemical transformations can take place over time that change the molecular structure of the drug. Prior to FDA approval, you are expected to limit chemical degradation reactions from oxidation, hydrolysis, and nitrosation of secondary amine impurities. Our experts provide the insight you need to limit these chemical transformations in your formulation.
Many drugs have very low water solubility. Many such drugs can thus have very slow dissolution rates which limit human exposure levels. We provide expertise on how to measure and thus optimize drug dissolution rates from your conventional or solid dispersion based formulations.

About Us
Based in the Philadelphia area, PhaRxmon Consulting LLC provides pharmaceutical consulting services to companies nationwide with regard to drug development issues. Using our years of education and experience, we provide analytical solutions to such topics as drug degradation (with particular expertise in oxidative degradation) and dissolution rate optimization from poorly soluble drug formulations.
Our extensive knowledge of the industry comes from both an academic background and industry experience. A Ph.D. in analytical chemistry and more than 20 years of employment at Merck gives our founder a very technical and deep level understanding of pharmaceutical issues. Having worked on hundreds of compounds and published numerous journal articles gives us the credence to answer questions and provide guidance in these and other related areas.
We provide the pragmatic, science based answers you need to get your formulations approved and to market with minimized risk. We are also available to speak at seminars and events on topics such as oxidative degradation, and understanding and maximizing dissolution rates of poorly soluble drug formulations. Our presentation includes a slideshow and question-and-answer session.
